Hello again and can you believe it’s February already?! Which means that in less than five months' time we'll be launching Allta at the start of July! It's hard to think about the summer when it's still so cold outside, but we are making progress and sticking with our goal of using natural fibres and materials where possible and trying to make Allta a sustainable business.

We are super excited that we're about to sign off our jacket samples which have been made in London and will be manufactured here, too.

Just some final tweaks to make to the length of the body and the position of the button fastening on the blazer and we are there! Exciting times...

Jackets will be the focus of the launch: a blazer and military style jacket, which should meet all your layering needs for the summer and into autumn. We’re launching the blazer in 4 colours and the military jacket in 2 colours and they will both be produced using natural fabrics: 100% wool for the blazers and 100% cotton for the more casual military jacket. Both with breathable linings made from natural cellulose. Once we've signed off the samples, they'll be photographed in early March. Then we can get some pictures up on the website so you can finally see what’s coming! We aim to have some shirts & blouses to offer later in the summer and are working on a couple of dress designs, too.

All in all, we’re on course to help widen the choice of good quality clothing available for tall women, which we’re looking forward to sharing with you soon. In the meantime, here’s an article from Glamour online posted in January of last year listing some of their resident tall writer’s favourite places to shop:

That’s all for this month. Let’s start looking forward to the spring and I’ll have more news about Allta’s launch plans in the coming newsletters. But if you have any comments in the meantime, you can always drop me line using the contact button at the top of this page.
